The Order of St. Clare started in Assisi, Italy on March 18, 1212 when St. Clare received the habit of penance from St. Francis of Assisi at the Church of St. Mary of the Angels (Portiuncula). Now Spread all over the world, The Poor Clare Nuns arrived in Hong Kong on Sept. 12, of the Jubilee Year 2000. As contemplative nuns, they are dedicated to a life of prayer and worship. They have perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, where God is constantly worshiped.
